Hi. I’m Sahaja Douglass.

I have been a licensed psychotherapist since 2001.

I have experience working with clients dealing with a wide range of issues and how we work together will depend on your goals for therapy. Some clients want to explore their issues from a place of deep introspection and some clients want solutions to a specific problem. We can discuss your goals and issues in a free initial 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit to begin therapy.

Therapy is not always easy. This first step – reaching out to a therapist – takes real bravery, and engaging in self-reflection can be challenging. I acknowledge the courage it takes, and I create a safe space to explore personal challenges, tendencies, or past traumas that get in the way of you living a fulfilling and joyous life. Whether your issues are related to relationships, ADHD, loss and grief, parenting issues, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, serious medical issues, or a variety of other issues that get in the way of you feeling happy and living the life you want, I offer you support, guidance and resources when needed and wanted. Sessions can be both in-person at my office and/or on-line using secure video telehealth.

I am compassionate and empathic. Insightful and direct. I feel honored to hold space for those who want support and guidance while exploring their issues.

I also have a lot of experience working with ADHDers. If you are an ADHDer or just have variable attention traits, I can help you process feelings about the more challenging aspects of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world. As an ADHDer myself who has raised two ADHDer sons, I understand these issues from the inside. I can offer tools and resources for managing anxiety, executive functioning and other issues common to ADHDers. We will also focus on the super-strengths of ADHDers, like creativity, and out-of-the box thinking. I welcome your authentic self.
